At Sinai Health, we care, create possibilities and offer hope. We are looking for an creative and experienced Organizational Development professional aligned to this purpose to join our team as the Senior Consultant, Organizational Development (OD).

The Senior Consultant, OD reports to the Senior Manager, OD and directly contributes to the design and implementation of the many employee lifecycle initiatives outlined in the Sinai Health People Plan with specific emphasis on supporting our people and teams through OD interventions, coaching, change management, performance management, employee engagement, management and leadership development, as well as supporting the wellness, diversity, inclusion and belonging activities within the portfolio.

Position Responsibilities:

This role supports the broader Organizational Development, Diversity and Wellness portfolio.  The Senior Consultant serves as a trusted partner, coach and facilitator, to support individuals and teams to thrive through a sense of inclusion, engagement and contribution, by:

Facilitates OD interventions, delivers training and workshops to support intact teams, Sinai Health people and leaders in a variety of content areas including personal/team resilience and well-being, interpersonal skills, self-awareness, management, leadership and overall team functioning and development. Provides feedback and coaching where appropriate.
Provides leadership, coaching, and motivation to Sinai Health people to ensure they are equipped with the necessary tools and information to increase engagement and sense of meaningful contribution.
Partners with leaders across the organization, as well as People & Culture, to assess needs and determine/develop plans and programs to support leadership, team and individual development, well-being and resilience.
Supports Sinai Health’s efforts to effectively manage change in order to achieve its organizational objectives through facilitation, education, project support, coaching, assessments, program development and evaluation.
Supports the design, update and implementation of the performance management program; creates communication materials and tools for distribution, refines strategies to improve the user experience; coaches  leaders to assist in understanding and uptake.
Supports the execution of employee engagement programs including, though not exclusive to, the development of techniques for compiling, preparing and presenting detailed data and reports for senior management, monitors participation rates, develops tactics to increase participation to ensure statistically relevant data is collected and analyzed.
Oversees the development of tools and strategies that enable leaders to create action plans to address engagement survey results and ensure people are motivated and engaged  to achieve organizational objectives and included in the co-design of action plans.
Supports the Diversity and Wellness functions; supporting associated engagement strategies, facilitates wellness workshops, supports programming.
Delivers and supports change activities to increase adoption, including building change management plans, change visioning session(s), stakeholder engagement plan/analysis, change communications, job/role impact assessments, and change readiness assessments.
Supports various events and initiatives within the Organizational Development, Diversity and Wellness department and larger People & Culture portfolio.
Completes other duties related to the position as assigned.
Job Requirements

Successful completion of an undergraduate degree in relevant field from a recognized educational institution.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in organizational development and/or training/education preferably in a healthcare environment.
Applicants with proven equivalent relevant and related training and experience may be considered.
Coaching certification (completed or in progress) is strongly preferred.
Accreditation and/or certification in psychometric and team assessment tools such as MBTI, DISC, etc., strongly preferred.
Understanding of current issues facing health care workers and strategies to support people well-being.
Certification in OD instruments/assessments preferred.
Change management certification or designation preferred.
Solid understanding of change management methodologies, ability to support and execute large scale change efforts.
Advanced knowledge and expertise in developing, implementing and evaluating employee engagement and OD programs.
Strong verbal and written communication; ability to synthesize complex information and distill key themes and information to various audiences.
Strong leadership and advanced facilitation and consultancy skills.
Empathetic leader; proven capability in leading self, engaging others, developing coalitions, achieving results and supporting transformational change.
Strong interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills with the ability to customize communications to a variety of audiences.
Excellent decision making, critical thinking, problem solving, negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
High ethical standards, promotes inclusiveness and recognizes and respects the value of diversity and belonging within our community and our workforce.
Understanding of equity, anti-racism, anti-oppression.
Demonstrated commitment to professional and personal development.
Excellent organizational and time management skills with the proven ability to manage competing demands. Strong attention to detail is preferred.
Certification in Crucial Conversations, LEADS in a Caring Environment an asset.
Advanced computer skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office.
Demonstrated satisfactory work performance and attendance history.
