Black Human Resources Professionals of Canada (BlackHRPC) is a not-for-profit network for the advancement and representation of Black HR professionals across Canada in the workplace, on executive teams, as entrepreneurs, and on Boards. Using a lens of member collaboration, lived experience and support to confront anti-Black racism, BlackHRPC provides networking events, professional development, resource sharing, expert & consulting referrals, career counselling, career opportunities, volunteer opportunities, mental health support, and mentorship for Black HR Professionals. Do I have to identify as black to register for a professional membership?
Yes. The Black HR Professionals of Canada is a Black-led and Black-serving association. Our professional membership is for individuals who identify as Black. Our Ally membership is open to anyone. So are our volunteer and supporters who are from all diversities.
Do I have to be in the field of HR to become a member?
No. Members can belong to any field or occupation, but our services prioritize human resources related career fields.
Do I have to live in Canada to become a member?
No. Members can live anywhere, but our services are geared to Canada.
Do I have to be a member to attend BlackHRPC events?
No. We have many events that are open to the public. Anyone can attend. We also have some events that are exclusive to members. Visit the event calendar page to register for upcoming events. Spread the word!
Do members get to post on the job board for free?
No. Anyone can post on the job board. Job postings are $199 each for the public. Spread the word! Our members, volunteers, and community supports/partners can pay a discounted rate of $159 for each job posting.
Can members promote their events on our calendar?
Yes! Members can go to the contact us page to make the request.
